Wwe Extreme Rules 2013

WWE Extreme Rules for May 19th 2013 was headlined by Brock Lesnar against Triple H in a Steel Cage Match and John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Ryback. Let’s run down the results for this show along with some brief thoughts about with.

WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Results and Review.

The Miz got the win over Cody Rhodes with the Figure-Four Leglock. This was the standard pre-show match, nothing really major.

Chris Jericho got the win over Fandango with the Codebreaker. This was a solid enough encounter between these two men. The Codebreaker gets the win in our opening match.

Dean Ambrose captured

the United States Championship over Kofi Kingston, again another decent match. Although we may wonder where the belt’s going now when it’s on the waist of Kofi and onto Ambrose.

Sheamus won a brutal strap match over Mark Henry with the Brogue Kick. This was halfway decent for what it was.

Alberto Del Rio won the I Quit Match over Jack Swagger with the Cross Arm Breaker. This was the same match we saw many times before. Nothing special at all, with Del Rio working the arm and then locking on the Cross Armbreaker for the tap out.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns of the SHIELD won the tag team titles over Daniel Bryan and Kane, this was the match we expected to happen. The reign of

Team Hell No grinded to close tonight on Pay Per View, and the SHIELD all have belts, which was impressive to say the least.

Randy Orton scored the win over the Big Show with the Punt. Yes the Punt of Doom makes its return and I must say, it is pretty good to see it back in action.

Ryback battled WWE Champion John Cena to a no contest in a Last Man Standing Match. This was essentially the Batista and Undertaker match from a few years ago, it was pretty good all things considered. Both men were put down for the count and Cena was carried out but there was no winner.

Brock Lesnar scored the win over Triple H in a Steel Cage Match after hitting him with a sledgehammer and using the F-5. This was a better match than Wrestlemania 29 by far. Lesnar got the win tonight and who knows what he’ll move onto next.
