It is now time to dive right down the retro rabbit hole of fun for WWE Superstars for December 3rd 2009. An impressive main event featuring Matt Hardy taking on Dolph Ziggler headlines the show. Plus Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes of Legacy takes on Evan Bourne and Primo and the Patron Saint of WWE Superstars Zack Ryder takes on the Hurricane. Let's watch WWE Superstars 12/3/09 and run down all of the results.
WWE Superstars 12/3/09
Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase defeated Evan Bourne and Primo
For these brief moments, it makes me depressed that WWE doesn't take their tag team divisiontoo seriously, because of matches like this. The plucky underdogs against the dastardly heels, it is tag team wrestling 101, one hundred percent of the time. Evan Bourne plays babyface in peril and it is glorious until the tag is made to Primo. Primo runs wild but eats the Cross Rhodes for the pin. Legacy pick up the win.
The Hurricane defeated Zack Ryder via disqualification
Ryder tried but the Hurricane was pretty much a sad shell of his former self by this point. Given how awesome Helmswas from 2000-2007, that really just makes it depressed even more. See Hardy, Matt from 2003-2008. The Ripper, who is Paul Burchill under a hood, ran into the ring and attacked the Hurricane for the disqualification to continue their feud on ECW.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Matt Hardy
The Matt Hardy of 2006, 2007, 2008, versus the Dolph Ziggler of today and this would be an amazing, epic match. In 2009, with Ziggler of 2009 against Matt Hardy of 2009, it is merely just adequate. Matt Hardy is really on the way down hard but Ziggler is pretty much spinning his wheels at this point. As a result we get a middle of the road match, with Ziggler pulling out a backslide for the pin out of nowhere.
Superstars was a show that seemed to be capable of more this week, but for some reason, didn't deliver.
