Wwe Raw 9/12/11

Welcome to WWE RAW airing on September 12th 2011 from Ottawa Ontario Canada. We have a huge night this week, featuring the final showdown with CM Punk and Triple H leading to their match at Extreme Rules. Plus Bret Hart is in the house.

WWE RAW 9/12/11

Out comes Alberto Del Rio. He is not happy about being disrespected. He is the WWE Champion. He is worthy of your respect. Out comes Bret Hart. Bret Hart says that Alberto is the first thing about being champion. All style and little substance, but Alberto fires back, calling Bret a homeless person. It’s on,

like Donkey Kong, as we are going to have a fight but out comes John Cena. Alberto should enjoy the belt while it lasts. Alberto suggest a match with John Cena…John Cena vs. Ricardo Rodiguez. Cena suggests Alberto Del Rio vs. Bret Hart for the WWE Championship. Only if we can build a time machine and pull the Bret Hart from 1995 into the present. John Laurinaitis comes out, to make Ricardo and Alberto against Cena and Bret tonight, on behalf of Triple H. A fine enough opening segment.

John Morrison and Alex Riley defeated Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger

A fine tag team match, featuring with Alex Riley pinning Jack Swagger. The story was that Ziggler could have saved but he didn’t, leading to more tension between Swagger and Ziggler.

Miz and Truth have words about their match with Air Boom this Sunday but they’re still not happy about what had happened. R-Truth wants Triple H to lose this Sunday and thus lose his job.

The Miz defeated Kofi Kingston

A rather fine match to say the least even if it is one that we have seen fairly often in the past. Got a little bit of time and it was good. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin, beating Kofi Kingston, setting up Miz and Truth against Air Boom at Night of Champions.

Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long are backstage, Dolph Ziggler will defend the belt against Jack Swagger, Alex Riley, and John Morrison in a Fatal Four Way Match at Night of Champions. Vickie says this is unfair. Kelly Kelly gets involved, and Vickie calls Kelly a dim witted Barbie. Beth should beat Kelly because anyone can. It’s Vickie Guerrero and Kelly Kelly tonight on RAW made by Teddy Long.

John Cena and Bret Hart are plotting.

In comes David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty, oh boy this segment. McGillicutty says that he was born with charisma, because who his father is. Otunga is a Harvard Educated Lawyer. Wait…you’re a Harvard educated lawyer and…you’re in wrestling? DOES….NOT….COMPUTE! Jerry Lawler is in, to say that McGillicutty is not his father. No kidding. Otunga failed charisma class. Out comes Jerry Lawler’s mystery partner.

Jerry Lawler and Sheamus defeated Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga.

Fair enough tag team match, but McGillicutty and Otunga are pretty much dead, the longer they are being branded as boring, no matter how true it is. Sheamus takes down McGillicutty with the Celtic Cross for the pin.

Ricardo is preparing.

Bret Hart and John Cena defeated Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez.

Fun little tag match, not the best from a technical standpoint but rather fun. Alberto graciously allows Ricardo to start. What a humanitarian. Back and forth action. Attitude Adjustment is rather teased but Alberto grabs the ropes. Ricardo tags him back in and Cena promptly beats him up, with the Attitude Adjustment as Del Rio left. Maybe he had a roast in the oven? Tag made to Bret and Bret places Ricardo on the Sharpshooter.

John Cena tells that Del Rio his destiny will be changed on this Sunday. Given Cena’s dominant performance tonight, it’s likely that Alberto will win. Granted, it might be by a screwy finish to set up another match at Hell in a Cell.

A look at the post 9/11 WWF Smackdown.

Kelly Kelly defeated Vickie Guerrero

Short and not that offensive of a match. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger get into a fight which distracts Vickie and allows Kelly Kelly roll her up. Kelly Kelly kicks

an interfering Beth Phoenix in the face after the match.

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton is coming up.

Out comes Mark Henry, who talks about how after fifteen years, he will be the World Heavyweight Champion. Randy Orton will enter the Hall of Pain!

Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton.

An awesome match, rather enjoyed this one and it set up a challenger for the future, a fresh one, if Orton gets past Mark Henry at Night of Champions. That’s what we call planning for the future. Providing WWE remembers this match happens in a week. Nice back and forth action. Mark Henry gets involved, distracting Orton which allows Cody Rhodes to waffle Orton with the face mask and scores the pin.

Mark Henry beats up Randy Orton after the match.

CM Punk and Triple H have words.

This segment went on forever and while it had its moments, it kind of dragged. Some of the highlights of this long segment where CM Punk brings up that only bodybuilers(or steroid freaks, your mileage may vary), get preferred treatment with Triple H offering a rebuttal. Punk asks where his ice cream bars are, a fair question. Punk talks about how at the 2006 Survivor Series, he was cheered over DX. Triple H says that Punk had opportunities but he didn’t make the most of it. I should point out that Triple H was shove down our throats for years before he finally caught on. It wasn’t until Mick Foley made him that he was anything but Shawn Michaels’s lackey. Triple H says that Punk might have made it because of the Internet. I’m going to let that one go, because it’s just going to lead to a rant that I know I’ll regret making. It is personal this Sunday. It’s not going to be the COO Triple H but the man, the man that is the Cerebral Assassin, the Game, it is Triple H.

Punk just shakes this bold statement off, saying that after this Sunday, Triple H. It’s not Punk talking to Triple H it’s Phil talking to Paul. Real Names. WE’RE SHOOTING~! Microphone cuts off but Triple H gets a new one for Punk and asks him to lay the pipe bomb down on it. Punk does, nailing Hunter with the microphone right in the head. It will be Triple H and CM Punk this Sunday. Someone getting hit in the head with the microphone is always good, as the sound it made. This segment, a lot of it I could do without, but the ending was good.
