Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Episode 90 Farewell Lotus Blossom Review.

Talk about all of the weird callbacks in this episode, Shredder’s porcelain collection from “Master Ogg Goes to Town.” He is after a burial urn in this episode that will give him

great powers. That Shredder will not use this with great responsibility. As it turns out, the Turtles had been tasked by a stereotypical old man to take care of the urn, after our mean green heroes save it from two thieves who steal a pearl.

Meanwhile Lotus Blossom is visited by strange dreams where a giant ninja visits her. In a coincidence, Shredder uses a projector which he poses as the same ghost and tells Lotus to steal the urn. He tells Lotus the Turtles have betrayed her clan, Chakihari clan. Lotus flips out and tries to attack the Turtles, and as per usual, they get slapped around by the villain.

Shredder in his infinite wisdom sends Bebop and Rocksteady to swipe

the urn. Yeah, that wasn’t your best plan. Krang had an awesome crack, his one good line of this episode sadly, about wishing he would have worked with street mimes. You know, because they don’t talk back. Bebop and Rocksteady get the urn and they drop it when Raphael informs them it’s a burial urn.

Chakihari turns New York into Feudal Japan to search for his missing wife. Lotus and Leonardo go and get the pearl as Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo fight off the samurai. The pearl is returned and Chakihari realizes the spirit of his dead wife is trapped inside Lotus Blossom. So he sets his wife free, which allows Lotus to leave in peace and never be seen again. So the title of this episode was appropriate.

Once again, the villains were the afterthoughts, so 6/10 for a fair episode. That point did not bode well. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Episode 90 “Farewell Lotus Blossom” can be watched on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Complete Season 4 Collection.
