Episode Summary

In the lair, we have a lecture due to Michelangelo's overeating of pizza, but suddenly the Turtles and Master Splinter find themselves hitting the ceiling due to some kind of anti-gravity. The culprit is beneath the surface, that being Shredder and Krang, who are inside the Technodrome. Shredder seems willing to use the device but Krang warns him that it hasn't been perfected.

Sure enough, the device overloads and everyone is brought back down to Earth. The Turtles go to investigate it but the anti-gravity is now super gravity. As a result everyone is brought down to the Earth, especially the Turtles. Shredder sends Bebop, Rocksteady, and some foot soldiers to the surface with special gravity boots to stomp the Turtles but thankfully due to some trickery, the Turtles get their hands on the boots and get to the Turtle Blimp to fly above the pull of gravity.

In anger, Shredder adjusts the gravity altering machine, to lift everything off of the ground, dismantling the city, but the Turtles, with a little help of the Channel Six antenna manage to put everything

back to normal, despite Krang cranking up the juice once again.

Episode Review

Well you really do see the perils of having a forty seven episode season, where the creativity is stretched thin. The premise is simple, Shredder and Krang have this gravity device, the Turtles have to really stop the plan, there are perils along the way. Had it not been for the talent of the voice actors, I don't think that this episode would have been good.

And here's something potentially dark that I noticed in this episode. Shredder uses the anti-gravity device to lift buildings off of the ground. And then they just set back down right into place. I do wonder how many of those people died of heart attacks or something along those lines from lifting up or crashing down, never mind the injuries.

Then again, realism is just something where you might be barking up the wrong tree with a cartoon rather involving four turtles who eat pizza, are mutants, and are ninjas.

The bickering between Krang and Shredder as always was a highlight of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Shredder seems to have blocked out Krang's nagging by this point, despite some really real threats.
